What is in the kit

The All-in-One kit with a capacity of 1200 cc contains:

  • A plastic box with substrate colonised by Psilocybe cubensis mycelium.
  • A foil bag with filter patches that allow gas exchange without opening the bag.
  • Two clips for closing the bag.

Receiving the parcel

  • Inspect the parcel and the box from every side before opening the kit.
  • Check that the plastic box is intact and tightly closed.
  • Make sure the foil bag has no tears or holes.
  • Check that all the items listed above are included.

If something is missing or the packaging is damaged, take photos and contact us before opening the kit. A complaint is easiest to process on the basis of photos taken right after delivery.

Storage before opening

Until you open it, keep the kit in its original packaging, in a clean place, away from direct sunlight, radiators and food. Do not freeze the kit. The shorter the kit waits, the fresher the mycelium, so it is best to order it when you have time to look after it.

Observing the mycelium

The mycelium is easiest to observe through the walls of the plastic box and the foil of the bag, without opening the kit. This way mould spores do not get inside.

What healthy mycelium looks like

Healthy mycelium is white, cottony and grows evenly through the substrate. The smell is neutral and mushroom-like. In Psilocybe cubensis, a bluish colour where the mycelium has been pressed or damaged is a natural reaction of the species and does not in itself indicate mould.

Signs of contamination

Green, black or orange spots, a fluffy green coating that grows from day to day, an unpleasant smell or a slimy texture are typical signs of contamination (most often Trichoderma mould). In that case do not open the bag indoors and dispose of the kit as described below.

Microscopy as a hobby

For microscopy enthusiasts, the kit is an opportunity to look at the structure of the mycelial hyphae. If you have spore samples (for example in an applicator), prepare the specimens with clean tools on a disinfected glass slide and label them as in a collection: date, variety, magnification.

Hygiene

Wash your hands thoroughly before every contact with the kit. We recommend latex gloves disinfected with alcohol. Do not touch the substrate with bare hands and do not open the bag unnecessarily. Keep the kit out of the reach of children and animals.

Disposal of a used kit

Put a used or contaminated kit in its entirety into a tightly closed plastic bag, without opening the box, and throw it away with mixed household waste.

Complaints

Complaints are handled in accordance with the shop's terms and conditions. Report missing items or damaged packaging immediately after delivery, with photos taken before opening the kit.
